CME Mission Statement

 

PURPOSE

The CME mission of Health Wise Network Charities, Inc. is to provide high quality educational experiences, encouraging physicians to continuously improve their professional competency in the provision of patient care. We seek to sponsor evidence based programming that is pertinent to the needs of practicing physicians, is based on sound principles of adult learning, and results in positive changes in healthcare practice.

  

TARGET AUDIENCE

The target audience of our continuing medical education activities primarily includes physicians and physician extenders practicing in the United States.

  

CONTENT AREAS

We plan to provide programs that will cover a wide variety of medical topics.  We wish to sponsor activities with faculty from Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, Genetics, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Microbiology, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics including General, Behavioral and Infectious Diseases, Psychiatry, Pulmonology, Radiology, Surgery, Urology and Women's Health.  Content areas are based on best evidence and will continually change according to on-going needs assessment, emerging technologies, and local, as well as global, healthcare concerns.

 

ACTIVITIES

All CME program design is conducted according to adult education principles and practices using creative and state-of-the art educational delivery. Innovative educational design involves a variety of modalities to complement different learning styles and needs, including lifelong self-directed learning and assessment. Activities will also be aimed at faculty and professional development, including excellence in professional education teaching, research and evaluation. Activities include:

  • Symposia
  • CME Enduring Materials 

 RESULTS

As sponsors of high quality, balanced, educational activities that instruct participants in current medical concepts that drive them to make relevant changes in their clinical practices, we strive to measure outcomes to ensure that a continuous link exists between our needs assessment and the improvements physicians make in their practices, which in turn promotes better patient outcomes.

CME Activities
